Did you know that although two thirds of people think superannuation is a good place to invest only one third make extra contributions to their fund. There appears to be a disconnect between how much money people think they will need in retirment and the action required to make it happen. I suppose many of us hope that someone will die and leave us lots of money or that we will beat the odds by winning the lottery.

It will be no surprise to most that money and divorce top the list of concerns for most people. A survey conducted by CBA found 31% of households did not have sufficent savings to cover a major event such as job loss or divorce. Many people appear to leave their financial security to chance instead of living within a budget so that they know where their mony is being spent.
